How to Translate Website Content
Since we have successfully added the languages to the website, the next step is to translate the website.
To get started, open the Website application and navigate to your website’s home page. There will be a language selector close to the user’s profile that displays the language being used on the website.
Click on the language selector, and it will present you with the list of all the languages that have been added to the website. Visitors can select their preferred language to view the website content accordingly.
Choose the required language from the language drop-down menu, then click Edit to modify the webpage content.
When you select the edit option, you will get two options, namely Translate and Edit. Click on the Translate option for the process of translation of the website content.
Select the text you want to translate. Upon selection, you will get a translation window where you need to provide the translation of the selected text.
AI translation tool in Odoo allows automatic translation of the chosen text.
As soon as the translation is finished, it will be shown in the pop-up window.
If you like the translated text and want to integrate it into your website, all you have to do is press the Insert button.
The translated text will then be placed on the website.
Once the translated content has been inserted, click Save to apply the changes. The website will then display the updated content in the selected language whenever visitors browse the site using that language.
Now, whenever a visitor changes the language on the website, the content will automatically be displayed in the language they selected.
Odoo automatically provides a language selector on the website, which is usually displayed at the top or bottom of the page. If a portal user visits the website and prefers to view the content in another language, they can simply select their preferred language from the available options.
This is because Odoo will present the translation if the web content has been translated into that language. An option at the bottom of the website allows visitors to select their preferred language for viewing the web content.
The customer simply has to select his desired language from the language selector, and the site content will be automatically translated into that language.
